The BS 8000-3:2020 inspection checklist has been developed to help demonstrate and improve quality in masonry construction. It is designed to be used by inspectors, supervisors, and anyone with an interest in or who wishes to ensure quality, including self-checking. It is intended to assist users of BS 8000-3:2020 and should not be used instead of BS 8000-3:2020.
BS 8000-3 provides recommendations for basic workmanship in relation to masonry but does not specifically address health and safety issues. For design aspects of masonry, the user is referred to BS 5628.
