BS EN 15431 is a European Standard that discusses winter and road service area maintenance equipment.
BS EN 15431 applies to power systems equipped for the operation and able to drive implements and attachments such as snow ploughs or spreaders on winter service vehicles on-road service area maintenance vehicles, equipped with front-mounting plates according to EN 15432.
The purpose of BS EN 15431 is to ensure the interchangeability of vehicles and implements.
Note 1: BS EN 15431 does not deal with airport equipment.
Note 2: BS EN 15431 does not cover applications, where the implements need a continuous hydraulic oil flow exceeding 45 l/min.
