BS EN 15339-2:2021

What is BS EN 15339-2 about?  

BS EN 15339-2 is one of the parts of a multi-series standard. BS EN 15339-2 specifies safety requirements of machines and equipment for thermal spraying, in this case of gas control units. This document is intended to be used in conjunction with Part 1, which deals with general aspects when designing, manufacturing, and/or putting in service of machines or equipment. 

The provisions of EU Directive 2014/34/EU are generally applicable to the use of BS EN 15339-2.

What’s changed since the last update? 

BS EN 15339-2:2021 supersedes BS EN 15339-2:2007, which is withdrawn. BS EN 15339-2:2021 includes some technical changes with respect to BS EN 15339-2:2007. These include:

• The document was editorially reviewed 
• The Normative references and the Bibliography have been updated 
• In Annex A, A.5 regarding oxygen-carrying components in gas control units was added.
