The term “collaboration” is widely used but may not be well understood. With a growing focus on the use of collaborative working in both the public and private sector, BIP 2225 The Next Evolution in Collaboration helps readers understand how collaboration might complement their organization, and how they can take advantage of more integrated working.
The audience for BIP 2225 is wide-ranging, from those that want to gain a better understanding of the topic, to those seeking to enhance their skills and who may be looking to broaden their applications of collaborative working. Potential readers will come from:
Why organizations and individuals should consider adopting collaborative working; how it can be deployed in tandem with the BS ISO 44000 suite of standards, and where collaborative working should be deployed.
BIP 2225 was originally published in 2013. Since then, BS 11000 has become BS ISO 44001. This revision brings the original publication into line with the progression to BS ISO 44001 and the various supporting standards in the ISO 44001 series. It also brings the book up to date, incorporating the experience of adoption and implementation gained since the publication of BS 11000, including through the Covid 19 pandemic, and increasing the focus on benefits realization.
BIP 2225 contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth, Goal 9 on industry, innovation and infrastructure and Goal 17 on partnership for the goals.
