Products as varied as denim, dress shirts, innerwear, towels, conveyor belts, medical dressings, specialty paper, and other light, intimate apparel involve the use of cupro and lyocell fibres. ISO 21915‑2 specifies the blend quantification of cupro and lyocell by light microscopy method for determining the properties of the fibre for better performance at the marketplace.
ISO 21915‑2 is the second part of the ISO 21915 multi-series, and specifies the quantitative analysis of cupro and lyocell mixtures using the microscopical analysis after re-dyeing cupro and lyocell mixtures.
Note: ISO 21915‑2 is not applicable for the fibre surface is damaged during the process (e.g. chemically or physically).

Cupro and lyocell are regenerated cellulose fibres and contribute to a sustainable society in that raw materials are not derived from petroleum. The blending of fibres is generally performed to improve the properties of the individual fibres, to facilitate better handling of materials or to enhance the aesthetic value of the products.
