This British Standard, a part of the BS 812 series, describes the method for the determination of the water-soluble chloride salt content of aggregate.
Appendix A describes a qualitative test and appendix B describes a more rapid method of test than the test described in the main text. It is strongly recommended that these tests are used as preliminary checks before resorting to the test described in the main text which may be needed for compliance with a specification. These rapid tests can also be used regularly for quality control.
