IEC 61631 specifies a test method for the mechanical strength of cores made of magnetic oxides. This test method is suitable for most of the E-cores, ETD-cores, I-cores and ring-cores but other core types such as U-cores could be tested according to a derived method agreed by the parties concerned. IEC 61631 is also applicable to the mechanical strength measurement of magnetic powder cores.
IEC 61631 on mechanical strength of cores made of magnetic oxides is relevant to:
E-cores, ETD-cores, I-cores and ring cores are used in transformers or inductors.
As a user of IEC 61631, you can ensure the mechanical strength of cores made of magnetic oxides. The test method specified in IEC 61631 helps the user in obtaining material development, quality checking, characterization and data acquisition purposes. IEC 61631 assist the user in improving the mechanical strength of the product. With the necessary guidance and compliance to IEC 61631, you will be able to expand the market reach for the product and build consumer trust and confidence.
