BS EN IEC 60045-1:2020

What is BS EN IEC 60045‑1 about? 

BS EN IEC 60045‑1 applicable primarily to land-based horizontal steam turbines driving generators for electrical power services. Some of its provisions are relevant to turbines for other applications.  

BS EN IEC 60045‑1 specifies technicalities such as terms, definitions, guarantees, product safety, operation and maintenance, components, foundations and buildings, extractions, bleeds and exhaust, turbine auxiliary systems, automation etc for steam turbines. 

Generator, gearbox, and other auxiliaries which are considered as a part of the system are also mentioned in BS EN IEC 60045‑1.
