Why should you use BS 3947- Liquid chlorine?  

Chlorine also has a multitude of industrial uses. Including making bulk materials like bleached paper products, plastics such as PVC and the solvents tetrachloromethane, chloroform and dichloromethane. It is also used to make dyes, textiles, medicines, antiseptics, insecticides and paints. 

The methods of sampling set out in BS 3947should be used, as appropriate, for the purposes of the specification. BS 3947 also requires that the chlorine content of the vaporised liquid be no less than 99.5% when using the test method set out in BS 3947. BS 3947 provides you with water content, residue on evaporation and packaging and marking.
