PD CEN/TR 17475 is the CEN Technical Report WP2-D2 of the GP-START project, regarding the test procedures for assessment of robustness to security attacks. The test results will serve as the operational basis for field testing of robustness against security attacks.
Starting from the definition of security attacks taxonomy and security metrics highlighted in CEN/TR 17464, PD CEN/TR 17475 aims to:
PD CEN/TR 17475 provides a review of security metrics, in line with the other deliverables of the project and in particular with CEN/TR 17465 and CEN/TR 17464 and provides a definition of relevant test scenarios, applicable to security testing, starting from outcomes of CEN/TR 17464.
PD CEN/TR 17475 consolidates the test approach with respect to jamming and spoofing oriented scenarios and concludes with a set of real-life tests, for a preliminary end-to-end validation of the procedures.
PD CEN/TR 17475 on GNSS-based positioning for road Intelligent Transport Systems is useful for:
Security metrics are necessary to assess the robustness of the receiver against jamming and spoofing threats. Jamming and spoofing attacks impact the accuracy, availability, integrity and continuity of the GNSS service. These attacks can also impact Time to First Fix (TTFF). PD CEN/TR 17475 provides you with in-depth discussion regarding test facilities, focusing on both data recording and replay.
PD CEN/TR 17475 provides with you jamming testing architecture and spoofing testing architecture and describes a proposal about the different jamming and spoofing scenarios that can be used for standardization.
PD CEN/TR 17475 includes test facilities specifications which provide insight regarding the test facilities to be used for security performance assessment. It faces both the data set recording/generation and the data set replay, according to the test approach described in this document.
PD CEN/TR 17475 introduces specific test scenarios for security performance assessment. The baseline for building security assessment is to use nominal scenarios used for basic performance assessment, at least for jamming tests.
