BS ISO 7331:2020

What is ISO 7331 about?  

ISO 7331 discusses skiing equipment. ISO 7331 defines the minimum requirements for safety in poles for alpine and touring skiing. ISO 7331 specifies test methods to check conformity with these requirements. 

ISO 7331 is applicable to ski-poles for alpine and touring skiing in the following ranges of total length, lT: 

• Group A, lT ≥ 1 050 mm (adults' poles) 
• Group B, 1 050 mm > lT ≥ 700 mm (junior poles) 
• Group C, lT < 700 mm (children's poles)

Why should you use ISO 7331?

What’s changed since the last update?  

BS ISO 7331:2020 cancels and replaces the fourth edition (ISO 7331:2011), which has been technically revised. The main changes compared to the previous edition are as follows:

• Addition of requirements and test methods for adjustable poles
