BS EN 62560 is an international standard that covers safety specifications for self-ballasted LED lamps.
BS EN 62560 specifies the safety and interchangeability requirements, test methods, and conditions required to show compliance of LED lamps (self-ballasted LED lamps) with integrated means for stable operation. It is intended to be used for domestic and general lighting purposes, having a rated wattage up to 60 W and a rated voltage of > 50V up to 250V and caps.
Note: The requirements of BS EN 62560 relate only to type testing.
BS EN 62560 on self-ballasted LED lamps is for:
Self-ballasted LED lights are the latest and most fascinating technological advancement in the lighting industry. LEDs are compact, solid lamps that are energy-efficient and long-lasting.
BS EN 62560 on self-ballasted LED lamps provides safety standards for self-ballasted LED lamps which helps manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers ensure all their products follow safety guidelines that are compliant with British and International Standards.
The interchangeability, technical requirements, test methods, and conditions mentioned in BS EN 62560 on self-ballasted LED lamps enable manufacturers in standardized production LED lighting products that can easily replace existing lighting systems (like tungsten halogens lamps).
