This British Standard is the UK implementation of EN 13318:2025. It supersedes BS EN 13318:2000, which is withdrawn.

The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee CB/300, Screeds and in-situ floorings.

This document (EN 13318:2025) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 303 “Floor screeds and screed materials”, the secretariat of which is held by UNI.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2026, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2026.

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.

This document supersedes EN 13318:2000.

EN 13318:2025 includes the following significant technical changes with respect to EN 13318:2000:

the Scope has been amended, deleting the statement that the standard had been valid for all standards prepared by CEN/TC 303;
all terms and definitions from previous Clause 2 have been moved to 3.1;
3.2 (formerly Clause 3) modification of the term name;
3.3.1 (formerly 3.2) and 3.4.3 (formerly 5.6) definitions improved;
addition of new 3.2.11 primer, 3.3.5 levelling screed and 3.5.8 dimensional stability.
