BS EN 975-2 focuses on wood flooring. The aim of the BS EN 975-2 is to provide manufacturers with characteristics of the solid softwood floor boards that helps in grading their product.
BS EN 975-2 is the second part of the BS EN 975 series of standards that defines appearance grades for European poplars BS EN 975-2 applies to dry and green sawn timber, of thickness 15 mm up to 34 mm and of width 100 mm up to 250 mm measured in a green state.
Note: BS EN 975-2 does not apply to the strength grading of structural timber.
