BS 7037 is a European standard on sampling plans for milk and milk products that discusses sampling plans for the inspection by variables of milk and milk products to ensure milk and milk products are safe for consumption.
BS 7037-2 is the second part of the BS 7037 series that is intended primarily for use under the following conditions:
Note1: The product is qualified as complying with the requirements of the contract or specification if the measured quality characteristic, x, satisfies one of the following conditions:
x <=U
Or x >= L
Or x <=U and x >= L
Conditions (1) and (2) are called cases with a single specification limit and condition (3) a case with double specification limits.
Note2: does not apply in the case of examination for microbiological defects.
BS 7037-2 on sampling plans for the inspection by variables of milk and milk products is useful for:
All dairy products must be tested for quality assurance purposes. Sampling facilitates comprehensive analysis of any given product for quality assurance. A sample represents the quality of the entire volume of the product under consideration.
BS 7037-2 provides you with guidance on the selection of sampling plan, classification of defects, sampling and inspection procedures, method of sampling, procedure, conformity, etc.
The methods and procedures provided by BS 7037-2 assist you in the inspection of milk and milk products by variables, improving the quality and subsistence of milk and milk products and ensuring it is free from contaminations.
With obedience and compliance to BS 7037-2, you can enhance milk and milk products’ effectiveness and efficacy and manufacture a standardized high-quality product.
