Why should you use IEC 61010-2-051?  

Mixing and stirring equipment is often operated for lengthy periods without constant attention. Therefore, they create certain risks for users and for laboratories that cause a hazard. To eliminate these risks equipment IEC 61010-2-051 provides tests requirements. 

IEC 61010-2-051 provides instructions for users that warn against the use of the equipment in hazardous atmospheres or with hazardous materials for which the equipment is not designed. 

What’s changed since the last update?  

BS EN IEC 61010-2-051:2021+A11:202 supersedes BS EN 61010‑2‑051:2015, which is withdrawn. 

BS EN IEC 61010-2-051:2021+A11:202 includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the BS EN 61010‑2‑051:2015: 

• Adaptation of changes introduced by Amendment 1 of IEC 61010-1 
• Added tolerance for the stability of AC voltage test equipment  
• Added required RISK assessment for equipment intended to be used with flammable, hazardous, or toxic fluids
