ISO 2286-3 is part three of multi-series international standard that specifies a method for the determination, at a specified pressure, of the thickness of rubber- and plastics-coated fabrics, irrespective of the type of substrate employed. ISO 2286-3 is applicable to single-face, double-face and double-texture coated fabrics, as well as materials in which an expanded layer is included in the coating.
ISO 2286-3 on the determination of thickness for rubber or plastic-coated fabrics is useful for:
ISO 2286-3 is important for having a standard method for measuring the thickness of coated fabrics.
ISO 2286-3 covers procedures, calculation and expression results, test reports and determination of roll characteristics. ISO 2286-3 draws the attention of automotive industries due to its various advantages, such as high production speed, reduced tooling cost and improved quality.
