BS ISO 12614-5:2021

What is ISO 12614‑5 about?  

ISO 12614‑5 is part five of the multi-series standard on tank pressure gauge which is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel system component. 

ISO 12614‑5 specifies tests and requirements for the tank pressure gauge, a liquefied natural gas fuel system component intended for use on the types of motor vehicles defined in ISO 3833.

Who is ISO 12614‑5 for? 

ISO 12614‑5 on the tank pressure gauge is applicable to: 

• Manufacturers of LNG vehicles 
• Manufacturers of tank pressure gauge 
• Vehicle regulatory authorities 
• Vehicle repair shops 

Why should you use ISO 12614‑5?  

Good quality fuel system components are very important for the efficient functioning of an LNG vehicle. ISO 12614‑5 specifies the guidelines for the construction of tank pressure gauge. These guidelines include the materials to be used and the method for assembly of those materials. This will help you manufacture durable fuel system components. 

ISO 12614‑5 provides marking instructions on tank pressure gauge which help in identifying and tracing tank pressure gauge. 

ISO 12614‑5 includes tests to check the hydraulic strength and leakage and continued operation of tank pressure gauge.  These tests will help you in measuring the strength of the tank pressure gauge. 

What’s changed since the last update?  

BS ISO 12614‑5:2021 edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 12614‑5:2014), which has been technically revised.
