ISO 12614‑13 is part 13 of the multi series standard that specifies tests and requirements for the tank pressure control regulator, a liquefied natural gas fuel system component intended for use on the types of motor vehicles defined in ISO 3833.
ISO 12614‑13 is based upon a working pressure for natural gas as a fuel of 1,6 MPa [16 bar1)]. Other working pressures can be accommodated by adjusting the pressure by the appropriate factor (ratio). For example, 2 MPa (20 bar) working pressure system will require pressures to be multiplied by 1,25.
Note-
ISO 12614‑13 is not applicable to the following:
ISO 12614‑13 on tank pressure control regulator of liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel system components is applicable to:
Good quality fuel system components are very important for the efficient functioning of an LNG vehicle. ISO 12614‑13 gives you guidelines for the construction of tank pressure control regulator these guidelines include the materials to be used and the method for assembly of those materials. This will help you manufacture durable fuel system components.
ISO 12614‑13 provides marking instructions on tank pressure control regulator, these markings will help in identifying and tracing tank pressure control regulator.
ISO 12614‑13 provides tests to check the hydraulic strength and external leakage and continued operation of tank pressure control regulator. When performed these tests will help you in measuring the strength of the rigid fuel line.
BS ISO 12614‑13:2021 edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 12614-13:2014), which has been technically revised.
The main changes compared to the previous edition are as follows:
