ISO 13993 is an international standard that covers requirements for good quality ski boots.
ISO 13993 specifies a uniform method for the sampling and inspection of complete and incomplete alpine ski-binding-boot systems used in rental operations. It gives technical specifications such as terms, definition, range classes, a summary of practice, equipment inspection requirements, sampling requirements, sampling, and inspection procedures for rental ski shop practice.
ISO 13993 is intended for any facility which rents complete and incomplete alpine ski-binding-boot systems as when the skier owns the boots.
Note 1: ISO 13993 is not applicable for alpine touring ski-binding-boot systems.
Note 2: ISO 13993 is not applicable for complete and incomplete alpine ski-binding-boot systems which are rented for 15 days or more.
