What is PD ISO/TS 16096 about? 

PD ISO/TS 16096 defines physical and chemical tests on raw reclaimed isobutene-isoprene (IIR) rubber. 

PD ISO/TS 16096 defines standard materials, standard test formulations, equipment, and processing methods for evaluating the vulcanization characteristics and the mechanical properties of reclaimed isobutene-isoprene rubber.

Why should you use PD ISO/TS 16096? 

Butyl (isobutene-isoprene) has a high energy absorption (dampening) capacity as well as good hot tear strength. The butyl polymer saturation level determines heat, abrasion, oxygen, ozone, and UV resistance. Butyl, on the other hand, is sensitive to petroleum oil, gasoline, and hydrocarbon solvents. 

PD ISO/TS 16096 specifies physical and chemical tests on raw rubber, preparation of test mix for evaluation, vulcanization characteristics, Mooney viscosity and more which allows you to enhance the vulcanization and mechanical properties of isobutene-isoprene rubber.
