BS EN 61534-1 is a European Standard on cable management which is the first part of a multi-series that specifies general requirements and tests for powertrack (PT) systems with a rated voltage not exceeding 277 V a.c. single-phase, or 480 V a.c. two or three-phase 50 Hz or 60 Hz with a rated current not exceeding 63 A. These systems are used for distributing electricity in household, commercial and industrial premises.
Note: BS EN 61534-1 does not apply to:
BS EN 61534-1 on powertrack systems is relevant to:
PT systems are an assembly of system components including a powertrack by which accessories may be connected to an electrical supply at one or more points along the powertrack. Powertrack systems, according to this BS EN 61534-1, are intended for use under the following conditions:
BS EN 61534-1 provides general notes on tests, general specification, ratings, classification,
Marking and documentation, construction with Clearances, creepage distances and solid insulation these features ensure the quality of powertrack systems.
On the basis of temperature, the insulation resistance test, and dielectric strength test, BS EN 61534-1 specify its durability and credibility which provides the performance of a product, helping you to save cost on electrical renovation and provide much more electrical power which is beneficial to determine the general requirements of powertrack systems.
