ISO 24025‑2 is the second part of a multi-series of international standards on sulfone polymer moulding and extrusion materials which covers preparation of test specimens and determination of properties.
ISO 24025‑2 specifies the methods of preparation of test specimens and the test methods to be used in determining the properties of sulfone polymer moulding and extrusion materials. Requirements for handling test material and for conditioning both the test material before moulding and the specimens before testing are given here.
Procedures and conditions for the preparation of test specimens and procedures for measuring properties of the materials from which these specimens are made are given in ISO 24025‑2.
Properties and test methods that are suitable and necessary to characterize sulfone polymer moulding and extrusion materials are listed in ISO 24025‑2.
ISO 24025-2 on sulfone polymer moulding and extrusion materials is relevant to:
Sulfone polymers are high-performance thermoplastics that have SO2 or sulfone moiety linkages and are high-heat amorphous thermoplastics.
In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, it is necessary to use the methods of specimen preparation and conditioning, the specimen dimensions and the test procedures specified in ISO 24025‑2.
Treatment of the material before moulding and conditions for injection moulding of test specimens is given in ISO 24025‑2 in order to determine the properties of sulfone polymer moulding and extrusion materials.
Furthermore, ISO 24025-2 let you design and manufacture sulfone polymers moulding and extrusion materials to ensure its toughness, strength, and hydrolytic stability than other transparent plastics.
