ISO 11960 specifies the technical delivery conditions for steel pipes (casing, tubing and pup joints), coupling stock, coupling material and accessory material. By agreement between the purchaser and manufacturer, ISO 11960 can also be applied to other plain-end pipe sizes and wall thicknesses.
ISO 11960 applies to the following connections:
ISO 11960 can also be applied to tubular with connections not covered by ISO or API standards.
ISO 11960 applies to products including the following grades of pipe: H40, J55, K55, N80, L80, C90, R95, T95, P110, C110 and Q125.
ISO 11960 does not apply to threading requirements.
NOTE: Dimensional requirements on threads and thread gauges, stipulations on gauging practice, gauge specifications, as well as, instruments and methods for inspection of threads are given in API Spec 5B.
ISO 11960 on steel pipes for use as casing or tubing for wells is relevant to:
The casing is a series of steel pipes that are run into a drilled oil well to stabilize the well, which keeps contaminants and water out of the oil stream and prevent oil from getting mixed into the groundwater.
ISO 11960 provide information on the process of manufacture, material requirements, dimensions, masses, tolerances, the product ends and defects inspection and testing are required to manufacture steel pipe which is used as casing or tubing for wells.
ISO 11960 helps you to manufacture steel pipe which passes every quality test and can be used as casing or tubing for wells in petroleum and natural gas industries. Manufacturing high quality and safe pipes will help you to expand their market reach of the product and build customer trust. With ISO 11960 you can be ensured that the products consistently meet and exceed quality assurance targets.
