BS EN 581-3:2007

BS EN 581-3:2007 Outdoor furniture. Seating and tables for camping, domestic and contract use. Mechanical safety requirements and test methods for tables

BS EN 581-3 specifies the mechanical safety requirements and test methods for outdoor tables used by adults for camping, domestic and contract use without regard to materials, design/construction or manufacturing processes.

BS EN 581-3 does not apply to outdoor furniture for severe contract use where higher requirements may be necessary, nor does it apply to street furniture and furniture permanently fixed to the ground/wall.

BS EN 581-3 also specifies guidelines for purchase information. Information regarding ageing and degradation caused by light, temperature and moisture has not been included.
