NOTE 1 In addition to the terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), this International Standard gives the equivalent terms in German, Italian, Spanish, American English, Japanese (with phonetic transcription) and Chinese; these have been included at the request of ISO/TC 172 and are published under the responsibility of the member bodies for Germany (DIN), Italy (UNI), Spain (AENOR), USA (ANSI), Japan (JISC) and China (SAC).
