BS EN 13423 provides requirements for the operation of vehicles that use compressed natural gas (CNG) as a fuel for propulsion, covering various aspects of NGV workshops including activities, risk management, planning, personnel, layout, systems, and operations.
BS EN 13423 also provides requirements regarding the management of NGVs including use, parking, fuelling for commissioning, inspection, installation, repair and maintenance, disposal, transportation, and documentation.
BS EN 13423 applies to the service, repair, and maintenance of NGVs when work is not performed on the gas fuel system.
BS EN 13423 is applicable to the management of CNG vehicles with a fuel system pressure of 20 MPa (200 bar) at 15 °C and can also be applied to vehicles with higher fuel system pressures, taking into account additional safety aspects.
BS EN 13423 on requirements for NGV workshops and the management of CNG vehicles is beneficial for:
An NGV workshop is a set of activities specially designed to promote the advantages of buying NGVs and disseminate working knowledge regarding the management of CNG vehicles. NGV workshops can prove to be an effective marketing tool, resulting in increased sales.
NGV Workshops promote safer practices to the NGV workshop operators and users of the NGV vehicles for the benefit of the society.
Overall, setting up workshops as per guidelines and requirements under BS EN 13423 will help you create awareness about the product, highlight its benefits and thereby increase overall sales. By creating a standardized system for operational guidance of CNG vehicles at different stages of product delivery, the end-user can be assured of an efficient, high-quality, safe and reliable product.
