What is BS 5050- Cryolite about?  

BS 5050 describes methods of test for natural and artificial cryolite having a NaF: AlF3 ratio of between 3 and 1.7. 

Cryolite is a white or colourless mineral consisting of a fluoride of sodium and aluminium. It is added to bauxite as a flux in aluminium smelting.
