What is BS 4044 – Determination of fibre length about?  

BS 4044 is an international standard that focuses on the quality of fabrics and textiles.

Only especially skilled operators can make satisfactory sorter diagrams on samples containing many fibres of 100 mm or more in length. Moreover, the time required to make a test increases steadily with the increasing fibre length of the sample.
