Method for the Brinell hardness test for metallic materials.

BS EN ISO 6506-1 is the standard that specifies the method for the Brinell hardness test for metallic materials and is applicable up to the limit of 650 HBW.

BS EN ISO 6506 Part 1 draws attention to the fact that only the use of the hardmetal ball indenter is specified.

BS EN ISO 6506-1:2005 supersedes BS EN ISO 6506-1:1999 which is withdrawn. This standard includes the following cross-references:
