BS EN 60598-2-22 is a part of an international multi-series standard that covers guidelines for quality luminaires for various purposes. 

BS EN 60598-2-22 specifies requirements for emergency luminaires for use with electrical lamps on emergency power supplies not exceeding 1000 V. It gives general requirements for emergency lighting equipment.

Note: BS EN 60598-2-22 does not cover the effects of non-emergency voltage reductions on luminaires incorporating high-pressure discharge lamps.
