This document specifies requirements for conformity assessment bodies (CABs) performing
certification of new lifts (elevators), model lifts, lift components and lift functions.
NOTE Hereinafter in this document, the term “lift” is used instead of the term “elevator”.
BSI recommends this version of standard for organisations operating in or with the UK. The ISO edition is available here if required.
