This document specifies the basic dimensions of ISO general purpose metric screw threads
according to ISO 261. The values refer to the design profiles according to ISO 68‑1.
This document is applicable to the metric fastening screw threads.
BSI recommends this version of standard for organisations operating in or with the UK. The ISO edition is available here if required.
