BS EN 438-2 is the second series of an international standard used for high-pressure decorative laminates (HPL). BS EN 438-2 can be used in conducting the test methods for determining the properties of high-pressure decorative laminates (HPL).
BS EN 438-2 specifies the methods of test for determination of the properties of high-pressure decorative laminates as defined in Clause 3. These methods are primarily intended for testing the sheet specified in EN 438-3, EN 438-4, EN 438-5, EN 438-6, EN 438-8, and EN 438-9.
Note: The precision of the test methods, specified in this BS EN 438-2, is not known because interlaboratory data are not yet available. When inter-laboratory data will be obtained, precision statements will be added to the test method at the following revision. For those test methods having an endpoint determination based on subjective judgement, it is not meaningful to make a statement of precision.
BS EN 438-2 on High-pressure decorative laminates (HPL) is useful for:
High-pressure decorative laminates (HPL) are one of the most durable decorative material and are available with special performance properties including chemical, fire and wear resistance.
BS EN 438-2 is useful in determining and identifying the resistant properties of High-pressure decorative laminates (HPL). Using BS EN 438-2 you can determine the properties of High-pressure decorative laminates (HPL) by performing the test methods. The test methods are as follows:
By performing these test methods, you can manufacture and apply good quality High-pressure decorative laminates (HPL).
