Abstract

This British Standard, a part of the BS 5703 series, describes general-purpose methods of decision-making using cumulative sum (cusum) techniques for monitoring, control and retrospective analysis.

BS 5703-2 deals with quantifying and minimizing the risks involved in decision-making arising from the use of the cusum method. This leads to better and more consistent decision-making under conditions of uncertainty.
