BS EN 12405‑1 discusses gas meters. Gas meters need to provide accurate readings of gas usage. The readings of gas meters depend on the electronic conversion devices that are used in the meters.
BS EN 12405‑1 specifies the requirements and tests for the construction, performance, safety, and conformity of gas-volume electronic conversion devices associated with gas meters used to measure volumes of fuel gases of the first and second families according to EN 437.
Note 1: BS EN 12405‑1 is not relevant to temperature conversion integrated into gas meters which only indicate the converted volume.
