What is BS EN 13375 - Waterproofing of concrete bridge decks about?

Bituminous road surfacing materials are not sufficiently waterproof to protect bridge decks. BS EN 13375 provides you with rules for the preparation of specimens for performance related tests on waterproofing systems. BS EN 13375 also includes specifications for the base specimen concrete and for the bituminous mixes for the asphalt layer in contact with the waterproofing sheet and used for the test.

BS EN 13375 is applicable to flexible sheets for waterproofing of concrete bridge decks and other concrete surfaces trafficable by vehicles. BS EN 13375 outlines the specimen preparation for tests on the waterproofing systems, which are referred to in the different test standards.

What’s changed since the last update?

• “Porous Asphalt” has been introduced
