What is this standard about?
PAS 911:2007 gives guidance for any organization wishing to provide a degree of uniformity in the preparation of, or review of, a fire strategy.
Who is this standard for?
Why should you use this standard?
Developing a fire strategy helps ensure that proper and effective precautions are being taken so that any potential threat of fire is, as far as possible, minimized and any fire incident is properly and promptly dealt with.
PAS 911 provides a recommended process that encompasses many key considerations when producing a strategy to manage fire safety. It helps lead to a document that is consistent in format and provides the necessary level of detail to enable subsequent designs for fire systems and setting up of procedures to be prepared in a complementary manner.
The PAS includes guidance on property protection, environmental factors, safety of life and business continuity.
