BS EN 50411 is a series on fibre management systems and protective housings to be used in optical fibre communication systems. It manages fibre connections from outside of the fibre rack to the fibre routers. A single-mode fibre fusion splice protector is a passive component, which provides mechanical and environmental protection to a single fibre or ribbon fibre fusion splice.
