ISO 80079‑34 is part 34 of multi-part series of European standard which discusses about the quality systems for ex product manufacture which enables development of safety mechanisms to deal with explosive atmospheres.
ISO 80079‑34 specifies particular requirements and information for establishing and maintaining a quality management system to manufacture Ex Products in accordance with the certificates.
While it does not preclude the use of other quality management systems which provide equivalent results, the minimum requirements are given in ISO 80079‑34.
ISO 80079‑34 on quality systems for explosive atmosphere is applicable to:
Explosive atmosphere is defined as a mixture of very harmful substances with air, under the atmospheric conditions, in the form of gas, vapours, dust/mist which is occurred after ignition, combustion spreads to unburned mixture.
ISO 80079‑34 provides you the various types of application for quality systems in explosive atmosphere such as certificate document which conveys the assurance of the conformity of a product, process, system, person or organization with specific requirements. ISO 80079‑34 also provides you guidance on ex-product equipment, protective systems, safety device, Ex component and their combination, as well as software and services, which helps you set up safety mechanisms and quality systems for explosive atmospheres.
As a user of ISO 80079‑34, you will be able to acquire a safety device for using it inside or outside explosive atmospheres which requires a safe functioning of equipment and protective systems with respect to the risks of explosion.
