What is ISO 3475 about? 

ISO 3475 is a standard that serves technical specifications to assess essential oil of aniseed (Pimpinella anisum L.) 

ISO 3475 specifies certain characteristics of the essential oil of aniseed (Pimpinella anisum L.), with a view to facilitating the assessment of its quality. 

ISO 3475 also provides information on flashpoint of aniseed oil which is required for safety reasons while transporting essential oils which are flammable products.

• In Table 1, a footnote regarding the appearance has been added 
• In Table 1, “when liquid” has been removed from the colour requirements 
• In Table 2, the range of Cis-Anethole has been extended 
• Editorial corrections have been made
