BS EN 60613 is a European standard that covers performance-related definitions and conditions of electrical and loading characteristics of X-ray tube assemblies concerning their behaviour during and after energization and, where appropriate, methods of presentation and measurement of these characteristics.
BS EN 60613 applies to X-ray tube assemblies either with a rotating anode X-ray tube or a stationary anode X-ray tube, intended for use in medical diagnosis.
Note 1: “Measurement" in this standard is always related to practical use. Consequently, “measurement" is meant to consume only a negligible part of the life of the X-ray tube assembly.
BS EN 60613 on electrical and loading characteristics of X-ray tube assemblies is useful for:
X-ray tubes are used in CT scanners, X-ray crystallography, etc. Increasing demand for high-performance computed tomography scanning and angiography system has driven the development of very high-performance medical X-ray tubes.
BS EN 60613 assists you with the presentation of the electrical characteristic like X-Ray tube voltage, nominal X-Ray tube voltage, X-Ray tube current, Cathode emission characteristic and envelope characteristics.
BS EN 60613 also provides loading of an x-ray tube, input power, radiographic ratings, and presentation of data for X-ray tube assemblies.
This assist in manufacturing high-performance X-ray tubes that are durable and of high quality for use in CT scanners, X-ray crystallography, etc.
