BS EN 62841-2-1 is part of the IEC 62841 multi-series that discusses the safety of electric motor-operated hand-held tools. This European standard helps its users to produce more reliable and safe hand-held drills to reduce the risk of accidents while using them.
BS EN 62841-2-1 applies to hand-held drills and impact drills, including diamond core drills. BS EN 62841-2-1 also applies to drills that can be used for driving screws by attaching screwdriver bits.
