BS EN IEC 62384 specifies performance requirements for electronic controlgear for use on DC or AC supplies up to 1 000 V (alternating current at 50 Hz or 60 Hz) and with an output frequency which can deviate from the supply frequency, associated with LED modules according to BS EN IEC 62031. Controlgear for LED modules specified in BS EN IEC 62384 are designed to provide constant voltage or current. Deviations from the pure voltage and current types do not exclude the gear from BS EN IEC 62384.
Note: The tests in BS EN IEC 62384 are type tests. Requirements for testing individual controlgear during production are not included.
Note: Requirements for controlgear which incorporate means for varying the output power are under consideration.
Note: It can be expected that controlgear complying with BS EN IEC 62384 will ensure satisfactory operation between 92 % and 106 % of the rated supply voltage, taking into account the specifications of the LED module manufacturer.
BS EN IEC 62384 on DC or AC supplied electronic controlgear for LED modules — Performance requirements is applicable to:
Controlgear is a collective term for electrical disconnect switches, fuses, and circuit breakers used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment.
BS EN IEC 62384 will help you in detecting overcurrent in controlgear and helps in measuring the circuit power factor.
BS EN IEC 62384 helps to not differ the output voltage in LED modules and helps in designing controlgear to provide in combination with LED module.
Buying BS EN IEC 62384 will helps you in designing the controlgear that helps in providing constant voltage and currents.
