BS EN IEC 60512‑28‑100 is the 28th part of an international standard used for connectors.
BS EN IEC 60512-28-100 is useful in performing the signal integrity tests that results in evaluating the performance of the connectors.
BS EN IEC 60512-28-100 specifies the test methods for signal integrity and transmission performance for connectors specified in respective parts of IEC 60603-7, IEC 61076-1, IEC 61076-2, and IEC 61076-3 standards for connecting hardware applications up to 2000 MHz. It is also suitable for testing lower frequency connectors. However, the test methodology specified in the detail specification for any given connector remains the reference conformance test for that connector.
Note: The above list of connector series of standards does not preclude referencing BS EN IEC 60512-28-100 in other connector manufacturer’s specifications or published standards.
BS EN IEC 60512-28-100 on Connectors for electrical and electronic equipment is useful for:
The connectors are electromechanical devices that are used in connecting the electric conductors and help in creating electric circuits. These electric connectors consist of two elements that are conductors and insulators.
BS EN IEC 60512-28-100 helps in measuring the load measurements by using calibration methods. Impedance matching resistor termination networks is useful to verify the measurements of the termination and the residual NEXT between two resistors. The test methods mentioned in BS EN IEC 60512-28-100 are insertion loss test, return loss test, near-end crosstalk (NEXT) test, far-end crosstalk (FEXT) test, transverse conversion loss (TCL) test, transverse conversion transfer loss (TCTL) test.
BS EN IEC 60512-28-100:2019 supersedes BS EN 60512-28-100:2013. BS EN IEC 60512-28-100:2019 includes some technical changes with respect to BS EN 60512-28-100:2013. These include:
