What is BS EN IEC 60512-1 about?  

BS EN IEC 60512-1 is the first part of the IEC 60512 series of standards that are intended to be used as a basis for tests and measurements specifications for electrical connectors. BS EN IEC 60512-1 details the generic specification for connectors that ensure the safety of electrical appliances. BS EN IEC 60512-1 provides a description and the practice of the various phases of tests and measurements (preparation, tests and measurements, requirements, documentation), in addition to basic terms and definitions.

BS EN IEC 60512-1:2018 supersedes BS EN 60512-1:2001, which is withdrawn.
