What is BS EN 13216‑1 about? 

BS EN 13216‑1 is the first part of multiple series that specifies material-independent general test methods for all system chimneys. It can be used for all flue gas carrying products.

BS EN 13216‑1 is useful for:

• Testing laboratories for general test methods for system chimneys 

Why should you use BS EN 13216‑1? 

BS EN 13216‑1 helps the producers to perform various tests like abrasion resistance test, gas tightness test, condensate penetration test (liquid phase), condensate resistance test (vapour phase), thermal performance test, thermal resistance test and more. 

BS EN 13216‑1 enables the testers to set up an ideal test environment for performing the tests.  

What’s changed since the last update? 

BS EN 13216‑1:2019 supersedes BS EN 13216‑1:2004, which is withdrawn.
