ISO 16358 is a series on Air-cooled air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps. is the process of removing heat and controlling the humidity of air in an enclosed space to achieve a more comfortable interior environment by use of powered "air conditioners" or a variety of other methods, including passive cooling and ventilative cooling. ISO 16358-1 specifies the testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factor of equipment under mandatory test conditions and is intended for use only in marking, comparison, and certification purposes.
Note: ISO 16358-1 does not apply to the testing and rating of:
ISO 16358-1 on air-to-air heat pumps are applicable for:
Air conditioners, which typically use vapour compression refrigeration, range in size from small units used within vehicles or single rooms to massive units that can cool large buildings. Implementing ISO 16358-1 you can determine the significant heat transfer capacity. You can control the temperature and set the system according to your need.
ISO 16358-1 provides heating during the cold season and air cooling during the hot days of the summer which regulates the temperature of the component for better and improved performance in the non-favourable climate.
Any air source heat pump is great for retrofits in the application of ISO 16358-1, as it becomes easy for such components to install air to air pumps and regulate it through the whole system. using ISO 16358-1 you can specify the testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factor of equipment under mandatory test conditions.
