BS EN 4708-107 is an international standard for aerospace series that provides guidance on the polytetrafluoroethylene sleeving.
BS EN 4708-107 specifies the required characteristics for a heat-shrinkable, polytetrafluoroethylene sleeving for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperatures between - 65 °C to 260 °C. This sleeving is translucent. It is semi-rigid, and suitable for use where resistance to chemicals and high-temperature performance is required. It is flame-resistant and available in low and high shrink ratios.
BS EN 4708-107 on polytetrafluoroethylene sleeving is useful for:
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Sleeve is specially designed with excellent thermal properties and good tensile as well as mechanical strength to protect the cables, hoses from extreme heat, metal splashes, and fires and flames.
The PTFE Sleeving possesses high resistance to chemicals and has high dielectric properties. Apart from this, they are flame-resistant and show less embrittlement.
By using BS EN 4708-107 you can manufacture the best quality sleeves including all the qualities that make it best for use in aircraft.
