What is BS EN 3847 - Paints and varnishes about ?  

BS EN 3847 specifies the method of test for evaluating the tendency of paints and varnishes towards sedimentation of their pigments. 

The procedure describes a method where the pigmented paint is allowed to settle at a specified temperature and for a specified time. 

Note: The procedure is not applicable to products that possess a pot life inferior to the specified measuring time.
